Saturday morning. In general, we haven’t heard a lot of good things about Venezuela, and especially Caracas. (“The Book” absolutely advises against travelling to or from the airport at night.) Comparatively, it is reported to be very expensive (unless you can find black market Bolivars), and the current “rule of law” is a little shaky. But we are glad that we’ll be there for a couple of days, it will give us an opportunity to look around enough to decide if we would like to return some other time, and we won’t have to worry about hiding in our hotel room for days until our flight leaves.

The Last Leg…
The last leg of our trip has us heading to Caracas Venezuela on a 19 hour bus ride starting this Saturday morning. In general, we haven’t heard a lot of good things about Venezuela, and especially Caracas. (“The Book” absolutely advises against travelling to or from the airport at night.) Comparatively, it is reported to be very expensive (unless you can find black market Bolivars), and the current “rule of law” is a little shaky.
